Dr. Jamal Javanmardi is a faculty at the College of Agriculture, California State University, Chico. Previously, he converted four abandoned buildings into educational, research, and commercial mushroom production sites. He provides consultation for mushroom and compost producers. His researches are mainly on the production and quality aspects of mushrooms. He incorporates mushroom cultivation into the courses he teaches to provide hands-on experience for students.
